Greetings. We’ve been talking in this series of videos about the retention piece of recruiting and retention, and today I wanted to talk about the public affairs piece of this. We talked a little bit about that in the recruiting part, telling your story so the people in your community are aware of who you are and what you’re doing, but effective public affairs makes just as big of an impact on the retention part of it. How is that? By telling the story of the good things that you’re doing within your organization, people who are a part of your organization understand that there’s value to what it is that you and they are doing, and they want to be a part of a winning team. They want to know that they are making a difference. And a great way besides the recognition piece, a great way for them to understand that, is to see whether it’s in printed form, whether it’s on the radio, whether it’s on CAP.news, but tell them the good story of the things that are going on at your local squadron. People love that. People understand that you have a great organization doing great things, and they want to continue to be a part of that. Therefore, it’s another thing that we can do to help with the retention of our volunteers. Thank you very much.
