How to Use & Maintain a Leaf Blower : How to Pull Start a Leaf Blower

February 29, 2020

Hi! My name is Matthew Christian from Tampa,
Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, today I would like to talk to you about the proper
use and maintenance of a leaf blower. Okay so we’ve turned the on switch on or the kill
switch to the on position, we’ve set our choke, we’ve primed our bulb and we are ready to
give her a pull. Let’s see what happens here. Okay, you may or may not have heard that but
a lot of two cycle engines you will prime it with the choke, give it a couple of pulls
and you will hear it stutter a little bit. Typically when you hear that stutter, it is
okay to go ahead and turn the choke to the off position. Let’s try this again. Okay, so we made a few pulls and we heard
the engine sputter a little bit. We are going to go ahead and turn the choke off now and
pull it again.
This one is going to be temperamental. Let it warm up for a second, we can turn the choke
off and we are ready to use it.

  1. Mines Homelite Huskivarna craftsman and many more. I do like homelite and huskavarna allot for 2 strokes. Whats yours?

  2. Ya I like the name crapsman… There hunks of junk. Horrible service charging a ton of money. B.S.
    Whatever NEVER BUY A CRAPSMAN

  3. ok so, prime it, then choke it, oh yes its very easy. oh bugger it doesnt work . ok, a bit of choke, then finally it starts. easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

  4. ok now do it my way…. dont hold the motor give 1 huge pull of the cord and (if you did as i said and do not hold other hand on motor) when you give the pull cord a good old yank… this should throw the useless non starting equipment at least 40 meters into the field….:-)

  5. How To Start A 2 Stroke- prime untill you can feel gas going through primer bulb, turn choke on full, squeez throttle to full, pull, when going turn choke off. there thats how easy it is.

  6. This is why I love my Stihls trimmer and backpack blower. They have they easy to start system with they automatic choke system. Once they start hit the throttle and it will take the choke off. So if you guys need a gas power equipment go with Stihl.
