NARRATOR: For students who dream of
classes without walls Haywood Community College’s Fish
and Wildlife Management Technology program could be the perfect fit. Students are taught not only
in a classroom setting. but also spend a lot of time
in the great outdoors gaining real-life experiences through
hands-on activities. Using the landscape of Western
North Carolina as their laboratory students learn the skills necessary
to manage fish and wildlife resources, develop and improve habitat,
assist wildlife managers, or become wildlife enforcement officers. Located in an area well-known for
it’s natural beauty, HCC’s entire campus is a
designated arboretum, and provides an excellent backdrop
for studying the environment. Our program, the only Fish and Wildlife
associate degree program in North Carolina, is accredited by the North American
Wildlife Technology Association. This stamp of approval gives graduates with
an A.A.S. degree in Fish and Wildlife an edge in finding employment. Anyone who enjoys the great outdoors
and wants to make a career out of working there, will be delighted with what Haywood Community
College’s Fish and Wildlife program has to offer.
